Robert DeNiro's Story...

At Wags and Whisker's Pet Rescue:

Robert DeNiro is one of over 30 dogs rescued from a filthy hoarding situation in Olivehurst.

In May, Wags and Whiskers rescued over 30 dogs from a hoarding situation in Olivehurst. When we first took them in, they were dirty and terrified, having never stepped out of a single home their entire lives. In the past months, most are now very friendly! While many have been adopted, 12 still haven't found forever homes! Please consider these poor pups when looking for a new member of your family.

Foster care is strongly encouraged to help socialize these dogs! Please consider helping in any way you can.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Robert DeNiro, a Chico Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Chico, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Chico.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chico already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chico breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chico paves the way for another one to be saved.
