Clyde's Story...
Clyde is a loving little brown tabby boy with an adorable white spot on his face and paws. Once Clyde gets to know you he runs right over to head butt your hand and starts purring right away. He likes to be picked up and will snuggle into you for more loving and cuddles. Clyde is a young and playful boy who enjoys playing with toys, and he gets along very well with other kitties and loves to play and snuggle up with them too. Clyde lived a tough life as a stray in West Virginia before he was rescued, he had a home but then they decided they didn’t want him anymore.

He needs a little time to adjust to a new home but once he knows you he’s quite the cuddler! He also lived with a dog before and did well with him, so we think he would be ok with a laid back dog in his new home. Clyde is a happy cat and would make a great companion if you give him a chance to show off what a sweet boy he can be!

Clyde was born in August 2015. He’s been neutered, micro-chipped, is up to date on all his shots, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Clyde, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
