My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 08/23/08: Mazee is a cute little 6 y/o 5# yorkie/maltese mix - she needs to gain a couple of pounds to be a healthier weight. Foster Mom says that she is a very good little girlie, even better behaved than their own yorkie!? She has had a couple of potty accidents in the house, but mostly it was because someone wasn't paying attention to her cues. She hasn't quite learned how to 'ask' for things - well, except for food! Good thing she needs to gain a couple of pounds because she is a little piglet. She apparently lost a significant amount of weight while she was on the streets, so she's trying to catch up really fast. Foster Mom says that Mazee will make someone a really great little companion.

Original bio 8/16/08 Meet Mazee! She's an adorable 6 y/o 5# yorkie mix who was found by animal control wandering the streets; no one came to the shelter to claim her, and because they were over-crowded, her time was up. Thank Goodness UYR was there to spare her life. Mazee is mostly black and silver, but has the beautiful silky coat of a yorkie, and also the personality. Mazee is underweight @ 5# and should weigh at least 7# to be a healthier weight. She is a very sweet little girl who appears to be housetrained. She likes to go out in the back yard and is also leash-trained. Little Mazee was neglected for a long time since her nails were so long that she could barely walk, and when she did, it was painful for her. Her hair was also severely matted and she may lose a lot of it when she is groomed. Mazee needs a loving family that will never abandon or neglect her again..............
