Phoebe is a happy energetic girl who is a little bit shy when she first meets you. She is eager to learn and is very responsive to her handler. She is comfortable with touch, has a soft mouth and is treat motivated. Phoebe loves a good game of fetch. She stays focused on her handler which makes her easy to train. Since coming to the shelter she has been working with volunteers learning to use all her energy in a positive way. Phoebe has been on a number of trips outside the shelter with her BFF volunteer who reports she was very well behaved and engaging. Phoebe is still learning to interact with other dogs and is making great progress. At this time though, we recommend Phoebe be the only dog in the home. At least until she and her new family really know each other. At 4 years old Phoebe is still a bit of a puppy and with patient training and love she will blossom into a loving well behaved companion.
