I'm one of the Lily Transport!

In 2014 Joyful Rescues returned from Tennessee with a little dog they called Fuzzy.  One look at her photo and we knew she was 'the one'.  Every day with this happy pup, now named Lily, reminds us of the tremendous gift Joyful Rescues gave us by saving her life.  So we dedicate this transport to Lily so that she, along with us, can 'pay it forward' giving more beautiful animals a chance at a happy life.  Sincerely The Artful Gardener (727 Mt. Hope Ave., Rochester, NY)

Tiger was born about April 16, 2016 and we feel may top out in the 50# range.  Truly, please understand we are REALLY guessing at breed and ultimate weight as we have no clue what the parents were.  He appears to have some Beagle characteristics and Tiger has a rather wide face so maybe there is a bit of Pit in there.  We do know he is a happy, fun, and funny pup that is looking for a home where he'll never end up homeless again.

Update from foster mom:  If you are reading this, then you are one lucky person.  You have a chance at adopting a fantastic little dog.  Tig is about the sweetest, smartest, most happy-go-lucky puppy I have ever met.  He has an exuberance that is contagious.  He shows a high level of curiosity in his surroundings.  The other day I lit the fireplace, and he was enchanted by the flames.  It was both funny and heartwarming.  He gets along well with other dogs, and is curious about cats but certainly not naughty.  He is a puppy, and so will need reminding about his boundaries, both with cats and other things around the house.  He is learning the rules of living in a home, but has a good attitude and is trying hard.  He is house broken, and he is also very good about only playing with dog toys and not human shoes, furniture, etc.  Tig has to learn some of the finer skills in life, like no counter surfing, how to walk politely on a leash, and not to jump up on humans when you are OH SO HAPPY TO SEE THEM!! (he has taken to jumping and twisting up next to me, not on me, thereby having found a gray area in the no jumping on humans rule!).  He isn’t overly barky, though he does enjoy a good bark at a door bell or a horse out in pasture (he currently is living on a horse farm).  He loves being sung to, and has his very own song about Tiggers!

The bottom line is to me, this puppy is wise beyond his months on this earth.  He gets the big picture, and he needs someone to fill in the details for him.  He is great with dogs, great with kids, and learning about cats and horses.  Eventually he will probably be very good off leash.  He comes when called, and is treat motivated for future learning.  He is polite at mealtime, and polite about taking treats from your hand.  He deserves a loving person or family to call his own.  If you would like to discuss Tig further, or meet him in person, please contact the rescue for my information.
