Facts about Coco

  • Breed: Bull Terrier
  • Color: White - With Black
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Coco comes to us as an owner surrender and is 11 years young, weighing approximately 45 lbs. She is described by her former family as quiet, smart, affectionate and obedient. She can be very protective towards her family, and has shown some aggression to strangers, therefore she needs to go to a bullie experienced family who is firm with a strong hand.

Coco can be picky with her doggy friends, so you need to go slow and easy with introductions. She is not cat-tested. We do not recommend Coco with young children.

She loves to go on walks, play with stuffed toys and balls, soak up some sun, and walk on the beach.

She is spayed, current on her vaccinations and HW negative. She is housebroken and crate-trained.

About Bull Terrier Rescue of the Sunshine State

About Our Rescue Group...

We are an all-foster volunteer rescue organization of bull terrier lovers dedicated to rescuing bull terriers in crisis and finding them permanent homes. Bull Terrier Rescue of the Sunshine State is a new rescue, but we are old hands at rescuing bull terriers. Our volunteers have all played key roles at other bull terrier rescues and decided now was the time to begin our own.

Our goal is simple - save as many bull terriers as we can. Many of you know us already. We look forward to meeting those who don't. We don't relish the spotlight. It's the dogs that deserve to be front and center. Bull Terrier Rescue of the Sunshine State will put the bullies first.

We don't care how hard it is or how hopeless it may seem. We will not shy away from rescuing older bullies. We will not turn our backs on sick or injured bullies. It's the right thing to do.

Our success will ultimately depend on you. We will need fosters. We will need home checks and help with transport. We will need to fundraise to pay for dog food and vet bills. Lastly, we will need adopters. We can do this together. We need to do this together. These dogs deserve better. People have failed them. We will not.

We are now officially a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization as of 8/27/2015.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an adoption form to be filled out, a home check to be done, and there is a nominal fee per dog to cover vetting, food, etc. All of our dog reside in foster homes and we decide when they are in optimal shape to be adoptable. Our dogs are not in kennels or boarding facilities. Each dog's adopt fee is decided per animal and per circumstance.
