Dominick's Story...
Dominick is a male Shih Tzu about 2 years old. He has a soft white coat with tan ears. His face is a typical Shih Tzu with a very short nose and big dark eyes. He is a nice size, weighing 10 pounds fully grown. Dominick is a wonderful mixture of a lively dog who loves to romp around and go for walks as well as being a quiet mellow pooch inside the home. When it’s quiet time in a home, Dominick has no problem taking a nap nearby his people or cuddling on the couch. He enjoys romping in a secure yard or exploring the yard with other dogs. He would enjoy trips to the park or beach. Dominick rides quietly in the car and is a nice companion on trips and errands. He is good with other dogs but does not appear to need another dog in the home to feel secure. He's an affectionate little dog that will quickly become integrated into your family life. Dominick was rescued from a shelter where he entered as a stray. He is going to make an outstanding, fun little love bug for some lucky person or family! Dominick is ready for his new forever home today.

You can meet Diminick this SATURDAY, JULY 23RD at the UNLEASHED BY PETCO STORE in Scripps Ranch, at 10625 Scripps Poway Parkway, San Diego from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dominick, a San Diego Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
