Hi there, my name is Dana. I am 10 weeks old and am getting ready to find my forever home- I am scheduled to arrive in NY during the first week of August. I am a small, female Doxie mix and I am absolutely precious. My tricolor fur is so soft and I am a little ball of mush. I am fully vetted, microchipped, and up to date on my vaccines.

Being such a young puppy, I need a home where someone is around during the day and it would be ideal that I have another dog to play with. Since I'm going to be a little gal, I think very small kids and large dogs will scare me. In my free time, I love to run around and chase my siblings out in the yard. I give great puppy kisses, hugs and snuggles.

Our dogs have an adoption fee that ranges from $375-$500. To ensure our pets go to the best possible homes, we are only able to adopt within a 20 minute drive from Nanuet, NY unless we have a representative in your area to complete the home inspection.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dana, a Nanuet Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Nanuet, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Nanuet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nanuet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nanuet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nanuet paves the way for another one to be saved.
