My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Fig and Newton! This sweet mama came to us with her puppy Newton and they will soon be ready to be adopted into their forever homes! Fig is a 3-4 year old "purebred little brown dog", meaning we have no idea what her breed mix is (possibly terrier, maybe some sheltie), and is fully grown at 19 lbs. Whatever she is, she is adorable! She is a bundle of love and wants nothing more than to roll over and have her belly rubbed. When Fig first arrived she was scared and timid, but has really come out of her shell and she will be a great addition to any family! She has been in a foster home with two small children so she would be happy in a home with or without children and other dogs. She is potty trained and walks nicely on a leash. She understands “no” and she sleeps through the night quietly in a crate with her puppy, Newton. Fig likes spending time outside and is learning to play fetch with a tennis ball.

Newton is an adorable little boy, but we have no idea what his paternal parentage is, and therefore, have no idea what size, weight, shape or breed he will grow into as an adult. Only those willing - and able - to take pot luck need apply! If you have breed or weight restrictions, then Newton is not for you.

Fig is still nursing so she is not quite ready for adoption, but her pup Newton is already eating puppy food so he should be weaned soon and they will be ready for adoption at the end of July. They do not need to be adopted together. We are accepting applications now so that when they are ready, they can go right into their forever homes.

Fig’s adoption fee of $325 includes: vet exam, heartworm test, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, Bordetella vaccination, rabies vaccination, routine deworming, flea/tick preventative, heartworm preventative, microchip and spay.

Newton's adoption fee of $375 includes: vet exam, DAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, routine deworming, flea/tick preventative, microchip and neuter.
