Nikita's Story...
This stunning Husky is Nikita, a beautiful girl in need of a new home due to major life changes and not enough time for her. Born in October 2012, the lovely Nikita weighs in at a petite 43 pounds. She has always been much loved and well taken care of, so does not come with any emotional baggage. Nikita is used to sharing her home with a small dog, and is also friendly and playful towards other dogs when meeting them on walks. She is clean in the house, and can be left loose alone for a reasonable length of time. Nikita’s ideal home will be one where she gets ample attention and exercise, and where she can cuddle with her people on the sofa. Contrary to many popular misconceptions about the breed, Huskies do not need to be pulling a sled or tied outdoors to be happy. Nikita is a sweet and affectionate lovebug who will make a wonderful pet for the right family. Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if you’re interested in adopting Nikita.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nikita, a Rigaud Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
