Skip's Story...
Skip is an affectionate 2-year-old Chihuahua-mix. He is a little shy at first, but will bond with you quickly, especially if there is another dog, small or large, in the household. He will make an excellent companion for another small dog. Skip is approximately 10 pounds. Skip’s StorySkip and five other dogs lost their home without warning when their owner was arrested and taken away by police. All six dogs ran out of the house. Two good Samaritan neighbors managed to catch Skip. Rather than leaving him at the shelter, they approached several South Bay rescue groups and ended up with Miniature Schnauzers & Friends Rescue and a foster home was available. Skip is well behaved; not a barker. He is partially housetrained as he currently has access to only a small part of the house. He has been neutered, vaccinated, teeth cleaned, and microchipped.

Adoptions every Saturday from Noon to 4:00 at Petco - 537 N. Pacific Coast Hwy., Redondo Beach. For more info, contact: akster27@aol.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skip, a Bellflower Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
