She’s a complete sweetheart in so many ways and very confident. It could take hours to write a bio full of her awesomeness! So here’s the short version. Even though she can’t hear, she has learned the hand sign commands for come, sit, down, stay, good girl and no. She responds well to body posture and visual cues as well. Is always looking at you for direction with her stunning blue eyes. She is still learning and improving on her hand sign commands daily, patience is important with this girly. A quick learner, always striving to please and is super smart. She is very food/treat motivated and extremely gentle when taking treats which makes training her a breeze! Norma Jean is a big fan of car rides, the snow and tennis balls. Loves to play with other dogs especially her foster brother Indiana. She has even learned how to play fetch. Always stays insight and does check-ins often (which is what we srtive for in hearing impaired dogs) but for extra precaution, she has a short leash on her at all times outside until she has mastered the ‘come’ hand sign command or is in a fenced in area. Likes to be able to see you at all times inside and outside or she will go looking for you. Definitely a velcro-dog! When Norma Jean isn’t being her playful sweet self, she enjoys her snuggle time with her foster family, a quick snooze on her doggy bed or just chewing a nylabone. She is content and happy doing anything as long as she is with you or can see you. Norma Jean is housebroken and sleeps quietly in her crate through the entire night. Although she loves her foster family, she needs a forever home and family to call her own.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
