Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Salem (HWTH#16251A). She is a Shar Pei/Pit mix, DOB: 3/21/16 (her sibling is Sniper [adopted]). Salem weighs approximately 33 pounds and stands 17 inches at the shoulders now with more growing to do (she will be a medium-size dog when mature). Salem, Sniper, one other sibling and their mother wandered into a neighborhood in Rosamond, California a few weeks ago where a good Samaritan took them all in, cared for them and fed them to get them all healthy. The good Samaritan was able to keep the mother and one of the pups and has now relinquished Salem and Sniper to Halfway to Home so they can find their Forever homes. Salem is a loving, happy girl who is a little reserved on first meeting strangers but only wants love so soon warms up to you. She likes to give small kisses and responds immediately to affection. A volunteer with Halfway to Home is fostering her so she is living with 14 other dogs of various ages and sizes and has learned how to use a dog door and is now house trained. After Salem has been adopted and is thoroughly settled in her new Forever home, she will benefit from positive basic obedience training to help with leash training and the bonding process. Salem should be given an abundant supply of chew toys so she has an outlet for puppy chewing. With lots of love and good-quality human companionship, Salem will make a wonderful canine companion. Photo 3 shows their momma. For more information on Salem, please contact Suzanne at tele # 661-824-4495.
