Elly's Story...
THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. ADR is not responsible for the health, temperament, behavior or placement of this dog. Listings are done at the request of the dog's owner and as an outreach and community service in hopes of finding these dogs a loving, stable forever home. Placement decisions are made solely at the discretion of the owner, and not Austin Dog Rescue. Owners are required to ask for an adoption fee from adopters.

This is the information that we received from Elly's current family:

Elly is a 5-year-old Cane Corso. She's a well-behaved house dog. Elly does not like to share her human, so she will not do well in a home with other dogs. She has never been around children, and should go to a home with no small kids. She is current on all shots, spayed and heart worm negative. We need to re-home her because we are moving overseas, and cannot take her. Elly is an awesome dog, very loving and protective.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elly, a Austin Cane Corso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cane Corso for sale in Austin, or seeking a Cane Corso dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cane Corso breeders who help with Cane Corso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
