Facts about Alfie

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black & White Or Tuxedo
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: 10317542
  • Hair: Short

Alfie was someone's pet.  The house burned down, he got out, and nobody ever looked for him.  This was learned about a year after Alfie had been living on the streets when someone recognized Alfie but still, nobody ever came to get him.

He was recently rescued and is loving being inside.  Look at his smile!  Alfie is fine with other cats and just loves being loved.

Alfie has tested negative for FIV/FELV, is current on vaccines and is neutered.

He is currently living in the adoption condos at PetSmart in Pelham Manor, NY.  If you would like to learn more about him and make arrangements to meet him in person (make sure a volunteer is there to let you into the adoption center), please contact Isobel at 914-699-3249 (for phone calls only, not txt), or via email at

About tlc Rescue Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

tlc Rescue is a recently incorporated not-for-profit organization with pending public charity status under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

tlc Rescue was founded by three women who have actively dedicated much of their lives to ensuring that all animals (particularly cats and dogs) are not living on the streets, homeless and/or being neglected or abused. Our rescue efforts focus on Westchester County, New York, primarily in the southern end of the county.

We often work with other rescue groups and shelters, most of whom have insufficient space for all of their cats to roam freely. Our philosophy is that no cat should be caged, except when needed to address temporary medical issues. We believe that cats need room to play, lounge and interact with each other and humans in an open environment.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees are $185 for kittens [includes any follow up vaccinations and spay/neuter at appropriate age] and $85 for teens/adults [these are adopted already fully vetted with vaccinations and spay/neuter].

We have a questionnaire and interview the potential adopter, there is a contract exchanged once the animal is adopted. We follow up in the near future once an adoption takes place to make sure the cat is doing well with it's new family.
