Additional Information: When she's not chasing either feather or string toys, you'll find Tessa in a sunny window where she can watch the birds and monitor the outside world. She makes adorable, funny little noises to herself as she patrols her territory, looking for a comfortable new place to lay. Tessa loves to sit beside you on the couch and just hang out. And she'll always be waiting for you at the door when you come home, expecting a cuddly minute of being held in your arms before dinner. Bonus: Tessa enjoys a good scratching post but isn't interested in your furniture and has impeccable litter box habits. In short, Tessa is a wonderful, lively little girl who'd be perfect for anyone who doesn't want a cat who is too needy, but wants a loving kitty who will interact with you, any other cats and especially her toys!
If you are interested in meeting a cat, we require an adoption application. Visit http://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adopt-a-city-kitty.html to apply. If a cat has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon.
City Dogs Rescue is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our animals (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Our cat adoption fee is $150 unless noted. Prior to arrival, all of our cats are spayed/neutered (unless specified) and given shots for Rabies, FVRCP, and Feline leukemia. They are microchipped and tested for FIV and FeLV. They are dewormed at least twice and given a health check by the vet.go
