My name is Mama. I am a 7 year young, white and tan, American Staffordshire Terrier.  I am looking for a home that has experience with my breed.  I love to learn and I love to snuggle.  Are you a snuggly teacher type??  I need you!!  I love to sleep with humans but I will sleep in my bed if you insist. Or my other fav, a full laundry basket of clothes!! Although I had training to work on my being reactive to other dogs, I am very selective of dogs who may want to share my home and would prefer to be the only pet in the home.  I should go to a home with teenaged children or adults only because small children’s loud noises and running about make me anxious.

I am up to date with all vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. I know basic commands such as sit, lay down, and stay but am still working on not jumping to greet visitors. I just get so excited!! When my humans are home I prefer to snuggle with them or find a spot of pillows to lay on. I am housebroken and will even tell you when I have to go out by going to the door. It is when you don’t see or hear me that accidents may happen so it is best to crate me while you are away. Because I know going in there means you’ll be leaving me, I will walk as slowly as possible towards it hoping you will change your mind but if you reward me with treats, I go right in! I am a sucker for a good treat! When I do go out, I am pretty fast at coming back in, unless my human is outside. Then I’ll be happy to stay outside all day. Wherever my human is, whatever my human is doing I want to be by their side, even when they use that awful vacuum monster. When they bring that creature out I hop from couch to couch when it comes near me but won’t leave the room because I have to make sure it doesn’t eat my human!

When I sit down my markings look like a heart on my bum. That’s because I’m full of love! I love my humans and love being with them and giving them kisses and getting belly rubs! I love treats too, and toys! But mostly I just love being next to my human and cuddling as much as possible!
