Aubrey has thrived in foster and is now a smart, pretty girl, ready for adoption. She is friendly and a quick learner as long as she hears a squeaky toy! She sits quickly, almost before you tell her especially if she hears the squeak toy or have a treat ready for her. She `focuses` and is learning the stay command. She listens to the down command with some coaxing. She is protective and would make a fine watch dog once she gets to know you. She retrieves well and even points (suggesting some pointer breed in her). She is mostly crate trained though she''s initially wary going in. Once she''s in she''s good and quiet for the entire night. She''s mostly housetrained though since she''s so quiet during the night she has had a few accidents when we first had her. She would probably be better in a household without other pets. She has been aggressive with other larger dogs and though she will chase cats, she has listened to the `Leave it` command in mid chase. (We haven''t tested her in this off leash). She loves to take walks and car rides. An all-around great companion for someone who wants to take the time to continue her training, care for and love her.
