Hop to it and adopt Sandy!
Lucy is bonded with Sandy, and they MUST be adopted together!
Age: 2 years old
Sex: Spayed Female
HOME SWEET HOME (HOUSING): Indoors only! There are predators outdoors and it is not safe for me. An x-pen enclosure or an indoor `bunny proofed` area are acceptable places for me to live. I need at least 2-3 hours outside of my enclosure daily to run around and exercise.
BUNNY BATHROOM: Litter box (one in my pen or room and one in the exercise area). Do NOT use cedar or pine shavings - they are hazardous to my health. Paper pulp litter should be used in the pan and changed frequently.
''BUN APPETIT'' (DIET): Rabbits are herbivories! My diet should consist of 80% timothy hay ( with alfalfa hay being given until I am 6 months old) 10% dark leafy greens, 5% pellets (approximately ¼ cup per 5 lb body weight) and no more than 5% healthy treats such as apple slices, bananas slices or other fruits and veggies that are high in sugar.
HANDLING: Rabbits are ground loving creatures so not all rabbits tolerate being held. We enjoy interacting with people when we have all four feet firmly on the ground. Most bunnies tolerate be pet on their foreheads and back.
WHAT''S UP DOC? (HEALTHCARE): Rabbits should have an annual checkup and need to have their nails trimmed regularly, some rabbits may require teeth trims which should only be done by veterinarian specializing in exotic pet care.
You are welcome to visit me and my friends at the Western PA Humane Society Adoption Center every day. On Saturdays (2:30pm - 4pm), join in the `Bunny Romps` where we buns have fun! The `Bunny Romps` provide a large playroom where you can interact with us and learn about our proper care.
Adoption Price for a single rabbit or a bonded pair: $50.00 + Tax
