My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Andy has been with our rescue for over a year and is still in search of his forever home. Hopefully he doesn't have to wait too much longer!

Andy is about a year and a half old, about 35 lbs, and a mix of breeds. He has lived in a foster home with other dogs, cats, and a toddler, and he is now in a foster home working on socialization and being comfortable in new, different situations. Andy is very calm overall, though he does love playing outside with other dogs! He listens well and even does fine off leash. Andy is content with just laying on the couch or in bed with you, or he'd be happy to join you for a walk. We feel Andy may do best in a home with a fenced in yard and another dog, or that he needs a dog savvy owner to help him feel comfortable.

Andy has been to a few different homes and returned, so we are looking for a certain type of home for him. He has some issues that we thought would fade over time with him consistently being shown love, but they haven't completely gone away. He takes a while to warm up to people, and he doesn't really trust strangers he meets, whether they be out for walks or guests in a home. He is also startled by abrupt movement, so he would probably do best in a quieter home without frequent visitors. Andy will need a patient home with unconditional love to give. He has won the hearts of many people in our rescue, and we really want to see Andy happy as can be in a forever home.

Andy is up to date on shots, neutered, microchipped, on flea/tick and heartworm preventative, house trained, and crate trained.
