Hi, I'm Rugby! I'm a young, one to two year old Corgi Schipperke terrier mix. I was just saying to myself this morning, "Rugby, you know what you need? You need a human all your own! You need a human to rub your belly and throw that favorite tennis ball!" So, I helped my rescue write my adoption bio, because that's what they do, help dogs like me! They promised to find the perfect home for ball fetching, intelligent, loveable pups like me! I have a list of fun activities that I know we'll both enjoy when I join your family. Like, for instance..throw the ball, take ball from my mouth. Throw the ball, take the ball from my mouth. I also enjoy belly rubs, lounging on the sofa, cuddling in the bed, and playing with other pups! I know that while I enjoy my daily back and ear rubs, you'll enjoy the feel of my fur and your heart will feel good to get all my kisses of appreciation. Don't let my appearance fool you though! I may I have the legs of a Corgi, but I have a heart the size of a Great Dane! I have an abundance of love to give to my new family, and I'm trying to be patient while I wait, but it feels like I've been waiting for an awfully long time, and I don't know why it's taking so long for my perfect family to find me. While I have many wonderful qualities, I don't have thumbs, so you'll have to do the clicking for both of us, and fill out my adoption application listed below! I hope to see you soon! Lots of love, Rugby

About One Good Deed - CT Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

One Good Deed Tn, Inc was started in April, 2013 by the Naquin family, who had been very active with volunteer activities and animal advocacy for many years. Many shelters and even humane societies claim to be "no kill," but we learned that the “no kill” provisions often had loop holes to allow for regular euthanasias. After losing a healthy, treasured foster dog to euthanasia, despite attempts by several people to adopt her and rescue groups attempts to pull her, we made the decision to start our own organization and make a difference "one good deed" at a time. We needed to do something good to honor our foster dog and decided on that day to start our own organization that would truly be for the good of the animals. One Good Deed Tn, Inc. will not put any animal to sleep for any reason other than as a last resort, on the advice of a veterinarian, for those pets whose suffering can not be cured and who by not humanely euthanizing would prolong its suffering.

We pull animals from all shelters, accept strays, work with other rescues who are too full, and provide medical services and foster care for all breeds of dogs until they are adopted into loving homes that are just right for their needs! We are also proud to assist other non-profit organizations with fostering, transport, and financial assistance for emergencies for both groups and individuals as our resources allow. One Good Deed Tn, Inc. believes that we can make a difference one good deed at a time!
