Jules's Story...
Intrepid Explorer!

"There is no more intrepid explorer than a kitten." -- Jules Champfleury

Jules is one of the five “J” kittens – her siblings are the white twins Josie and Jubilee and the brown tabby kittens Jacob and James.

These kittens have been transformed since they arrived at the shelter just over a month ago. Life was really scary for these orphans and it took lots of TLC from the staff and volunteers to help them to understand that they could trust and enjoy people.

But they have blossomed and welcome visitors to their cat community room, especially if they are willing to play!

Come meet Jules at the Coronado Animal Care Facility. The facility is open daily between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except major holidays). It is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Jules, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility or Cat Adoption Applications may be completed online.

If you have any questions, please call Bob at 619-840-9727.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jules, a Coronado Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Coronado, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Coronado.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coronado already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coronado breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coronado paves the way for another one to be saved.
