Dallas's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, and up to date with shots.

Dallas's Story...
Dallas is a dear, sweet, and very mellow boy who is happy just loafing around or lying under the car. He plays a little with a couple of his foster girlfriends but is not a big runner and seems to know nothing about toys. He does nicely with a three-legged male Chihuahua, but not sure about bigger male dogs or cats.

When he came into our rescue last year, he was not neutered and had some pretty ugly neck wounds (probably from a fight said the vet) which took weeks to heal and then it was discovered he had a totally torn ACL - which has been fixed.

He walks pretty well on a leash, is crate and house trained, and loves to go for car rides. He behaves very well around people and loves to just lay on the couch and watch TV with you He weighs about 45-50 lbs and might be three years old or so. He really is a beautiful dog.

If you would like a mellow new best friend and have a fenced yard, Dallas might just be a perfect partner. If so, please call Holly at 575-586-0784 and thanks for helping out a rescue!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dallas, a Questa Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Questa, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Questa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Questa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Questa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Questa paves the way for another one to be saved.
