If you are looking for a dog that will be your running buddy, play with the kids, be loyal and protective of your family, but then cuddle next to you on the couch, Pepper “Puppy” Paisley is for you.

What you need to know about Pepper:
Loves to go on walks and play with her Austrian Cattle Dog foster sister
Great with kids
Very smart – learned to sit and give paw within a week (motivated by treats)
Housebroken and crate trained
Chews on her toys and bones; not the furniture or your shoes!!
Walking on leash – still learning not to pull and to remain calm around unfamiliar dogs
Visitors – still working on her habit of jumping on people and becoming overly excited
Beautiful Black and White female American Pit Bull Terrier
Born around September 2015
Weighs approximately 45 lbs.
Most suitable environment:
Family who is looking for a dog who has the youth and energy of a puppy, but is out of the “puppy” stage.
Best with children over the age of five.
Pepper co-exists with her foster cat sister, but she would do best in a household without cats.

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. In addition you can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email for additional details.

Our adoption fee is $250 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.

About You Lucky Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

You lucky dog rescue is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue of homeless and abandoned dogs from the high-kill shelters of North Georgia.

We believe it is our moral responsibility to save, protect, and improve the lives of these dogs through the help of committed volunteers, foster homes, donors, local veterinarians, and trainers. We strive to re-introduce these dogs to society, assess their individual needs, and provide them with a loving temporary home while matching them with only the best, carefully screened forever homes

Come Meet Our Pets...

Check out our website for our upcoming adoption events. We hold adoptions at PetSmart at Northpoint Mall every other week and are adding new adoption locations in East Cobb soon!

Our Adoption Process...

Our Mission is to ensure the best fit for each individual dog and applicant. We will not make arrangements for you to meet any dogs outside of an adoption event until you have completed the adoption application. In addition, a dog will not be placed in your home before You Lucky Dog has conducted a thorough reference check and completed a home visit. Please understand that the adoption and home visit process is not designed to be frustrating and drawn out, but rather to guarantee the safety and happiness of the dogs. During the home check, we will make sure that each pet in that home has been neutered/spayed and is up to date on all of their shots. The home check will be completed by the foster for the dog that you are considering adopting when feasible. Our foster parents dedicate their time and money to loving and training these dogs, and we rely on their input when meeting with a potential adopter. If your application is approved and your home visit meets the requirements that we have established, you will be required to sign a contract in order to complete the adoption process. The adoption fee is $250. All dogs will be spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on all shots prior to adoptions.
