Hello, my name is Daisy! I am a happy, easy going gal. I am house trained and walk nicely on a leash. My favorite things to do are cuddling with my people, hanging out and basically being by your side. I also live with two other male dogs and I really like them and wouldn't mind having another easygoing male BFF as long as he lets me be the boss. I also would love to be the only dog and Queen Bee. What can I say? I love attention!

I also love children and do really well with gentle children 8 and up. The most remarkable thing about me is that I listen, yup it is true. I am a malamute that listens and does what you ask. Well most of the time, I mean after all I am pure malamute! The best guess about my age is that I am right around 7 years old so I have many years left to love my new family.

I really like my daily walks too! Here at the foster farm I have been getting in shape and can hike on gentle terrain for almost 2 miles now. I do have arthritis in my left front ankle and rear hock, so no rocky trails, running, jumping or long staircases for me. I take a mild anti-inflammatory twice a day with no problems and it helps a lot.

I am very healthy and being in shape and keeping my weight down is very important to me. I want to live a long life with my forever family. If you are looking for a laid back gal to spend your days and nights with, please ask for me - Daisy!

About Moonsong Malamute Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We're glad you stopped by to check out our Mallies in need of their "furever" homes! We are now a bonafide, federally recognized non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to assisting Alaskan Malamutes and their owners when in crisis throughout the Intermountain West. Please be aware that Moonsong Malamute Rescue (MMR) is not a shelter or humane society. We are affiliated with the Alaskan Malamute Assistance League (AMAL), which is the national rescue organization recognized by the Alaskan Malamute Club of America. As an affiliate to AMAL, MMR operates under AMAL's code of ethics.

We offer educational material about the Alaskan Malamute breed, can assist in resolving containment issues, are able to help an owner with appropriately re-homing their Malamute when necessary, and provide behavioral issues support in the form of referrals to trainers and other more experienced Malamute owners. These funds are also used to help care for Malamutes with adoptable personalities who have been pulled from shelters, or who have been seized by authorities after having been abandoned, neglected, or abused.
