CHUNK the hunk is looking for his forever home! *courtesy post-contact Miran Scally at 909-646-0740 for adoption information!

This is Chunk! He is a pit bull mix that is just over a year old. He weighs 55 pounds, but isn’t really tall, just muscular. He is neutered up-to date on his shots. Chunk does not have any health issues to this point. He does have flaky skin, but that has gotten better with a change of diet.

He gets along with two of my dogs, but not the other one. For this reason, I am looking for a home without other dogs. I am not sure how he reacts to cats or kids because I have not seen him around them. I believe he would do well with older children though. He is super social and loves people. Anyone who meets him says what a sweet dog he is.

He is still young and energetic. He loves to chase balls and chew on his Kong toys. He has a large backyard to run around in now, but when inside he is calm and just likes to cuddle. After a lot of running he likes to dip his feet in the water trough we have. He likes going on car rides, especially to the vets!

He has some minor separation anxiety, but not too bad. He will still eat and drink when alone. He began chewing on pillows, but I have found his Kong toys and long lasting (safe) bones deter him from chewing on the pillows. He is also working on not jumping up on people, it is very rare, but it still happens every now and then. I have not had a chance to work on walking on a leash and this is something he will need training in. He is smart, so I am sure he will catch on quickly! I introduced the crate to him and he will go in it, but I have never kept him in it with the door shut. He is house trained!

If interested in Chunk, please contact me, Miran Scally. My phone number is (909)646-0740. I live in Phelan, CA, which is west of Victorville. email is mirania82@gmail.com

About I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
