Donate to Our Shelter...

We have a fund for pets of people that cannot afford medical help and special foods etc. Any donations can be made to THE HUSHY FUND c/o Dr. Vern Otte, State Line animal hosp. 2009 west 104th st Leawood, Ks 66206. We are the shelter for the city of Leawood and receive 600.00 per month to house, treat, spay, neuter, vaccinate and find new homes for any animal or bird that is picked up by animal control Any donations made for this effort can be sent to State Line animal hospital at the same address and marked for animal shleter use. Thank you in advance.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We keep all adoptable pets on site. We offer overnight, weekend and weekly foster care for those of you willing to help on a temporary basis. We are conveniently located just off Interstate 435 and State Line Road in Leawood Kansas. Our hours are 8-5:30 Mon-Fri. and 8-12 noon on Sat. We can take appts to see the pets or you can drop by and visit.

Our Adoption Process...

We have to keep each lost animal a total of 7 business days to assure there is not an owner searching for the pet. At the end of that time we spay, neuter, do lab tests, vaccinate and prepare the pet for a new home. We charge a fee for each pet. We can negotiate the fee but it will be contingent on what we have already done and spent on that animal..
