Tessa & Kittens (Update)'s Story...
**SAD UPDATE** ..."Tessa" is a beautiful young adult female Tortoiseshell mother kitty who was brought to the HSOV on June 23, 2016 after she was found in the Lower Salem Ohio area along with her three one-week old kittens. Sadly, two of the kittens did not survive :( Mother "Tessa" still has one precious baby boy whom she dearly loves, and she is often seen holding him in her arms. "Tessa" has a dark brown/orange/beige short smooth coat in a tortoiseshell pattern, a long tail, and a very pretty face with large golden eyes. She has a calm, serene disposition and a sweet personality. "Tessa" is a petite little mother who weighs just 5.8 lbs. She was given vaccinations and wormer on June 23, 2016. Her one remaining kitten is an adorable boy with a dark brown/white coat. UPDATE: Sadly, Tessa's little male kitten passed away on July 4th :( "Tessa" would love to find a home of her own with someone who would love, cherish, and pamper her after her loss. She was spayed on July 20, 2016 and was also given rabies vaccine. "Tessa" will make someone a wonderful companion and new best friend

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessa & Kittens (Update), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
