Facts about LAILA

  • Breed: Calico
  • Color: Calico Or Dilute Calico
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Long
LAILA was literally thrown out of an apartment October/15 and luckily our foster lady lives next door and so we told her to bring her in which she did in mid November.

It was soon determined that Laila was pregnant and she delivered her 2 kittens (now adopted) Jan.11/16.

Laila is about 2.5 yrs old, gorgeous semi-long hair CALICO. She is very sweet and now at our shelter and gets along find with a few of our friendly cats who are used to newcomers. Laila would do well either as an only cat or with a male cat that is calm. She is quite affectionate and loves to be petted. She is in excellent health, spayed, de-wormed, free of parasites.

Please consider this lovely girl if you are looking for a puurfect kitty.

Please see our Adoption Procedure and Criteria on and if you agree email us to request our Adoption application.

Come Meet Our Pets...

The Safe Haven is located 1 hour east of Ottawa just off Hwy. 417, easy to find, and 45 min. west of Montreal. Visits are by appointment.

Our Adoption Process...

Please first read our Adoption Procedures and Criteria on our homepage at:, then e-mail us requesting an application. We will then review it, contact your references and then contact you by phone for a short interview and to book an appointment for your visit to the shelter. Our visitors usually spend an hour or more to be able to interact with as many of our resident cats as possible, in a natural 'home environment' as well as an opportunity to ask us any questions you might have. We then ask that you return home to make your decision, and if you think you have found a suitable companion we then contact each other to discuss these details. If we are all in agreement, then arrangements are made for your special new companion to be delivered to your home (within a certain distance or other arrangements are made). Our minimum donation for adult cat adoption is $165.00 (an additional donation for cats who have had certain testing or treatments).
