My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fiat (Fifi) #4608 is a 4-pound bundle of joy. She is one of the 300 Poms seized in a cruelty seizure. When this 1-year-old was first placed in her foster home, Fifi broke her front leg jumping to the ground from a height of about 8 inches. Since that time, she has settled down and does not try to wiggle away and jump. The scared little pup that came from the cruelty seizure has really blossomed into a wonderful happy, playful, relaxed little sweetie! She follows her foster mom around all day and will cry if she can’t see her. She has been good with cats and other dogs. She is good with kids over 6 (She has not been around younger children yet). She is very gentle and never growls, barks, or nips. She eats well and prefers dry food over canned. She is doing very well with her house training. She still will have occasional accidents and also pees on a piddle pad once a night. She does fairly well with grooming, bathing, and brushing. She has a sensitive tracheal and only wears a very loose light collar and has not been properly fitted with a harness yet due to her leg splint. She should do well with a low fitting chest harness. She does not run away and will walk calmly around the yard with you. She is easy to pick up and will happily stay in your arms and even fall asleep in your lap. Fifi would do best in a home with someone who is gentle and wants a dependent pet. She desires attention and affection and would not like to be where she was ignored. This is a fabulous dog who is going to make someone a wonderful companion. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship.
