Duke's Story...
Hello my name is Duke.  I was found in a compost pile in Pottstown with my brother and sisters after a stray cat that was being fed had kittens. We were born in the beginning of May, so I'm about 3 months old. My foster family took us in when we were 3 weeks old and bottle fed us since the area was dangerous. We love humans and are super friendly. I love to run around and play with my siblings. I have a really loud purr and love to cuddle. I'm neutered, FeLV/FIV negative, and dewormed.  I want to find a family that will give me a lot of love and attention. I hang out with my brother and sisters all day, and if it’s at all possible I’d love to be adopted together with one of my siblings so I won’t be lonely. Loud noises, the vacuum, and dogs scare me a bit still and I run under the sofa and hide.  I'm a huge sweetie and I want to find my forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Colmar Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colmar, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Colmar.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colmar already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colmar breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colmar paves the way for another one to be saved.
