Meet Olive! This adorable one-year-old kitty was found by a concerned young man lying in a dumpster soaked in motor oil in January 2016. She was extremely thin and he rushed her to a veterinarian's office for help. It was discovered that in addition to being tossed in the dumpster, Olive had been shot numerous times with a pellet gun. One of the pellets injured her eye and broke a tooth. Olive didn't seem to mind her misfortune too much and recovered well with a lot of supportive nursing care. She's now looking for her forever home where she won't have to worry about being hungry or abused ever again. She is extremely playful and likes to be part of whatever people are doing. She is very affectionate but way too busy to be much of a lap cat right now. She tolerates most dogs and other cats.

About AC PAW

About Our Rescue Group...

AC PAW started as a vision of two people, Brian Manley and June McGrath, to ensure a safe haven for animals from abuse, hunger, disease and death. AC PAW was founded to give the animals in the five-county Grand Traverse Area of Northern Michigan a second chance at life.

We are officially in our 20th year of volunteer service and work with a handful of dedicated volunteers and a small number of donors. AC PAW began on July 1, 1995 and was officially incorporated on Jan 16, 1996. During this time we have rescued and placed nearly 10,000 dogs and cats into loving homes.

We are always looking for animal lovers willing to put some time and effort into volunteering or becoming a foster home. Any kind of donations (financial support or pet supplies) are greatly appreciated.
