Gilligan's Story...

Gilligan

Friendly and cuddly, but I'm still a puppy.

I warm up quickly and am a friendly boy who loves to cuddle. I am smart and love to learn new things.

BREED: Australian Cattledog mix
COLOR: White & brown
GENDER: Neutered Male
BIRTHDATE: January 2016
WEIGHT: 30-35 Pounds

GENERAL SOCIALIZATION NOTES:

Gets along with other dogs who are willing to play. I can be a little skittish when out on a walk and someone approaches from behind.

DOES THE DOG LIKE OTHER PETS?

I am great with other dogs. I love to play.

DOES THE DOG LIKE CHILDREN?

I have not met any children yet.

FAVORITE TOYS:

Squeaky toys, balls, chew kongs, sticks.

FOREVER HOME:

I would like to go to a home with another dog to help keep me company and I can play with. I love when the sprinklers come on, and bath time is enjoyable as long as I can put my face in the sprayer. I used to not like being walked, but I've been learning how to loose leash walk (give me some treats along the way, because I like checking in with you). At night I enjoy cuddling up and being very close to my human; feet & legs make great leaning pillows. I still love to learn new things and am very curious about everything. Be sure to hide your shoes and anything that I may become interested in chewing, these baby teeth are still growing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gilligan, a Colorado Springs Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Colorado Springs, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Colorado Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colorado Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colorado Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colorado Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
