This big bundle of gorgeousness is Layla, a 3 years old, 1/2 lab and 1/2 mastiff weighing in at120 pounds! She is spayed and up to date on her shots. She loves going to doggie day care and playing with other dogs where she often receives Doggie of the Day for good behavior! She is good around kids and adults she knows but a little anxious when meeting new friends. Once she knows people she warms up and wants as much attention as someone will give her! Layla is pretty mellow. She is happy to lie around the house and just be near us. She may bark if she hears the gardeners outside or if the doorbell rings but that's about it. She can get protective of her food at times but not always. She is happy to share her toys!

Layla was sent to doggie boarding school as a puppy because mommy and daddy weren't the best at training her!  She is obedient and will sit, stay, lay down, and give high fives on command!  She does not go on the furniture ever with the exception of our bed and only when we want snuggle time with her. Once we give the command, "off" she hops down and goes to her bed. She was crate trained but as she got older we allowed her to sleep on her doggie bed in our room. She is completely housebroken.

About I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
