Mookie's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Mookie's Story...
I am a really, really friendly youngster, about eight months young. I traveled all the way across Nevada from the east and am now in a foster home in Sparks. I am neutered, have all vaccinations and also microchipped.

I am a typical happy go lucky pup, I love to play with other dogs small medium and large size, I love to play with water, go on walks, there's not much I do not love. I love to take treats and love to eat. I love to hang out with my people, as soon as you even stick your nose out the door I'm right by your side. Off leash I don't run off but always stay close by you. They have horses here at the ranch, I do not bother them at all.

They named me Mookie after this Red Sox player Mookie Betts.

I'm very wiggly youngster, and hoping that you will come and meet me and make me a permanent part of your family. Of course I still need to learn perfect manners.
An adoption contract, adoption fee and home visit applies. If you are interested in meeting him please share via email about your situation, do you have a house, is there a fenced yard, what other family members are there etc.

We are a registered nonprofit dog rescue, all adoption monies go directly back into vet fees for other dogs. For more information on adopting Mookie contact Sabine at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mookie, a Reno Border Collie/Anatolian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Anatolian Shepherd for sale in Reno, or seeking a Border Collie/Anatolian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Reno.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reno already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reno breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Anatolian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Anatolian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reno paves the way for another one to be saved.
