Charles's Story...
My name is Charles. I was the biggest and strongest of our litter when we arrived at our foster home. My brothers, Bran and Samuel were so small. I remember our first night in a house. It was so warm and we had our own room. Our foster children stayed with us most the night. I must say being held was my favorite thing of all. Maybe that’s why I’m a lap hog. I like to play with my brothers but I would much rather be with my human foster family. I always like to know where they are and I keep close to them. I love it when they sit down so I can get on their laps and stretch out. Sometimes it’s hard to pick who I’m going to cuddle with so I lap hop. If you have the lap, I have the love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charles, a Great Falls Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Great Falls, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Great Falls.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Great Falls already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Great Falls breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Great Falls paves the way for another one to be saved.
