Tara's Story...
You just have to meet Tara, the sweetest little Chinese Crested/Terrier mix you'll ever see! This year-old 7 pound girl is truly special and survived a rural New Mexico shelter; we saved her at the last minute. She can be silly, playful, and curious and likes following her foster mom. She loves being outside on the patio, and enjoys some snuggle time too. Tara is Learning the doggie door and is doing great with her house training. She would do well in a calm home, with adults and other dogs but would be happy to be an only child as well. Don't know about cats, but sense she would do all right with them. Please consider opening your heart and home to this special little princess. If you would like to make Tara part of your family please fill out an application at ‪www.lapdogrescue.org‬ and put her name at the top.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tara, a Tijeras Chinese Crested/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinese Crested/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Tijeras, or seeking a Chinese Crested/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Tijeras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tijeras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tijeras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinese Crested/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chinese Crested/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tijeras paves the way for another one to be saved.
