With Pearl's small stature, sleek frame, long legs and tail, and perky ears, people often ask if she's mixed with Whippet or Greyhound. We're not sure, but we do know she is striking, unique looking, and so very sweet.
Pearl was rescued anemic and so malnourished from Downey Shelter in June 2014, our vets could not agree on her age. One vet said 4-6 months old. Another said at least a year to two years, but growth stunted from being so neglected. Over two years later she is a sleek, healthy, happy girl.
She was saved due to someone who offered to foster her. They fell in love and adopted her.
Now, two years later, the family's life has changed. Pearl was feeling the strain so they reached out to us for help.
So Baby Pearl is now a Cause Kid. She is sweet, quiet, very affectionate and loves kids. She will do best with a large male fur companion but large females would work with proper intros. Smalls are not a good fit; although she did live for two years in peace with a small female.
