Hodor's Story...
Hi, I'm Hodor, an American Staffordshire mix with a mean muggin' underbite. I'm three years old an 45 pounds. I can be a little nervous at first, but pretty soon my back end starts wiggling and doesn't stop once it starts. I need a forever family that will earn my trust and help my confidence soar all while channeling my brilliant staffie brain. Obedience classes or even some fun classes would really help with that. I like playing with other dogs a lot and would really love a home with a more confident buddy. I mostly ignore cats but have been known to play chase with a kitten a time or two. A house without little busy kids is the best fit for me. I need a home without a lot of noises or fast movement. I am house trained, working on crate training, and could use some work on my leash. I definitely need a fenced-in yard since I like to wander sometimes. I like to play with my toys and snuggle with my people but what staffie doesn't love a good cuddle!? I am up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. My adoption fee is $200. Email rescueofhope@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hodor, a Grand Rapids American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
