Ryker's Story...
Ryker is the majestic image that people see when they talk about German Shepherd Dogs. He is extremely intelligent, confident and has the colors and size that sends a “leader of the pack” message to all who see him. He is a very loving fella who will follow you around the house waiting for his turn to be loved on. He loves going on walks with his foster family. You will love taking him on walks as he does not tug or pull on the leash unless his foster tells him it’s okay to explore. He turns heads like a runway model during his walks. He truly represents what people want in a German Shepherd Dog. He gets along great with his foster's cat. They are often seen sharing a drink at the kitchen water bowl. He is crate trained, house trained, and looking for a family to call his own.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ryker, a Houston German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Houston, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
