Murphy is one super sweet and happy puppy who loves everybody and everything. He is absolutely wonderful with any size or age dog, cats and children.
Murphy lives in a foster home with 5 other dogs, two of them elderly. He is very respectful towards the elderly cat in the home and showers her with kisses on occasion which is met by other disdain from the cat. She is not into puppy dog kisses.
He is good in the car and loves sitting in his little pink pool.
Murphy is a calm puppy who loves nothing more than sit in the sun with the other dogs in his foster home. He loves his chew toys and his big comfy bed.
Murphy spends the night in his crate and is happy especially when he has his stuffed animal and a big comfy pillow.
He enjoys going for walks and wants to meet everyone he encounters.
Murphy has started to swim over the summer and has gotten quite good at it and really enjoys it.
Murphy was surrendered to the shelter because of his back legs. Xrays did not reveal any broken bones and the vet assumes that this is a genetic defect. Murphy is walking and running like a puppy should, just at a slower pace.
We are looking for a home for Murphy with few or no steps to the outside, he still has a bit of a rough time maneuvering steps, it is easier for him getting up than down. We also would love for him to go to a home where his new family has a lot of time to spend with him. Murphy is still a puppy and has to go out to relieve himself often during the day and he will also need someone who is willing to work with him on strengthening his back legs by taking him on gentle walks and swim therapy.
Murphy is such a treasure, his sheer presence brings so much joy to everyone who encounters him.
Please come and meet our Murphy and find out for yourself what a wonderful dog he is.
