Penny's Story...
What a pretty Penny I am, just a baby waiting to blossom into your wonderful new pet. I will need lots of love, training, and guidance, you know, all the usual puppy stuff! I love to play with other doggies, I love to play with kitties, and I love to play with gentle children. I’m sure you get the point—I love to play every day! Thing is, I do play a bit rough, so I’ll need a home where I will get all the structure and training I need to become the well-mannered girl I know I can be. Is your family looking to raise a puppy? Come in and meet your lucky charm! 4 months old-27lbs. My adoption fee is $280 and includes microchip & registration, spay, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced-cost training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Portland German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
