Sophie's Story...
Sophie here, but you can just call me your new BFF! I’m an active young lady who likes to have a good time. Playtime is my time, know what I mean? I’m smart and eager to learn whatever you can throw at me…That’s a good thing you know, it means you can teach me all sorts of cool tricks and stuff, maybe I can even learn how to catch a Frisbee! That also means obedience school will be great fun! I do really well with the other dogs, I love chasing cats, and I sure dig being around people and children. I am willing and ready to join you on all those fun activities we’re gonna do together, and when the day of fun is done, I’ll gladly curl up on the couch next to you. Oh…and I can’t forget to mention how stunning I am too! Anyway, enough about me, I want to get away from this darn computer and go back out in the yard so I can play!!! 10 months old-58lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes microchip & registration, spay, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Portland Australian Kelpie/Siberian Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Kelpie/Siberian Husky for sale in Portland, or seeking a Australian Kelpie/Siberian Husky dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Kelpie/Siberian Husky breeders who help with Australian Kelpie/Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
