My name is Sadie!

I am an adorable little 20 pound bundle of love. A Jack Russell Terrier, I am just 10 years young, very healthy, and have a lot of years of love and companionship left to offer the right family. I live in Canyon Country, CA,, near Santa Clarita. I have a smooth white coat with cool black spots.

I have been spayed already. I am a very good girl, crate trained, house broken and very devoted. There is only one thing. . . I just don't get along with other pets. I LOVE people and want all the attention to myself.

I am looking for a new home where I will be the only pet, and where my owners have more time to spend with me than my current owner. She loves me, but she is gone from early morning to late evening working. I spend all my time alone in my crate, and that just isn't the life I had hoped for.

I would much prefer to be someone's best friend, spending lots of time together, going for walks, snuggling on the couch, playing fetch and relishing each other's company.

My perfect new home will be with a couple, single or family with older children (past the stage where they poke eyes, pull tails, crush, squish or otherwise torture dogs like me!). I would love to have a securely fenced yard to play in. If you are home for part -- or most of the day, that would be divine.

Please offer me the home I need and very much deserve. I am a great little dog and can't wait to wow you with wiggles and melt your heart with my big brown eyes.

If you would like to offer me a home, please fill out the information form below. Once received, my owner will contact you to arrange a good time to meet us.

About Santa Barbara Find My Pet a Home

About Our Rescue Group...

In many locations throughout the USA and Canada, shelters are rescues are filled to capacity, leaving pet owners who can no longer care for their pet with nowhere to turn. Many pets are needlessly being euthanized.

Being placed in a shelter is a very stressful experience for all pets - and their owners. We offer a very good alternative, allowing pets to stay in the loving care of their owners while a new home is located for them.

We have helped many pet owners in need to place their pet in a home where they have great peace of mind in knowing that their pet is being cherished, well cared for and kept safe, happy and healthy.

Come Meet Our Pets...

In most instances, our pets stay with their owners until a new home can be located. There are some situations which require a more urgent placement, and in these instances, we look for loving foster homes to care for these pets until a permanent home can be located.

Pets available for adoption can be viewed on our website at http://findmypetahome.com/santa-barbara-pet-rehoming-service/

Our Adoption Process...

When a pet is placed with our organization, our staff create a very honest and compelling adoption story about the pet, using the information provided to us.

We then spread the word about this pet's need for a new home through a wide variety of online services, and through local outreach.

Interested parties are directed to fill out a formal request to meet a pet, providing in-depth information about themselves.

Before a potential adopter is introduced to a pet, we do careful reference screening and a criminal records check.

Should the pet's owner and the adoptive party agree to an adoption, a formal agreement is entered into, requiring the new owner to agree to keep in touch, ensure the pet's physical and emotional well-being, and provide a safe, happy and healthy home.

They are required to agree that they will not surrender the pet to a shelter or give away the pet - but rather they are to contact our organization so that we can find another suitable home, in the event that they are unable to fulfill their commitment.

The owners deliver the pet to the new owners, so that they can do a home inspection prior to leaving the pet in the new owner's care.

Our organization provides follow-up services, contacting the new owners after the first week, and then every 45 days for the first nine months post-adoption. This helps ensure the pet is being well cared for, and that the new owners have any support they need in adjusting to life with their new companion,
