Charlie's Story...
Acquired: 5.27.16
Adopted: AVAILABLE

Charlie and Spartacus' story:

Charlie is a 3 year old spayed female, and mother to Spartacus, a 2 year old neutered male. Both are up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on flea/heartworm prevention, house traines, crate trained, and leash trained.

Charlie and Spartacus come to us as a mother/son pair from a family who could no longer care for them. They previously lived with children, though Spartacus is a little hyper so small children need to watch out! :) Charlie and Spartacus could go to a home together or separately.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Virginia Beach Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
