Kyle's Story...
Kyle was brought in stray after being on the run for awhile. He was very hesitant and avoided everyone that tried to help him. This boy was finally caught and is now realizing that he finally lucked out and ended up with people who are giving him the TLC he needs. Kyle is about 1 1/2 years old and he was not reclaimed by an owner, so he now available for adoption. He was covered in ticks and he is also a little thin after fending for himself for an unknown amount of time. Today we remove way too many ticks from his body! He has been treated for the fleas and ticks and is scheduled to be bathed this weekend. Kyle is a little shy of new people, but comes around pretty quickly and turns into quite a sweet young man. We are certain with continued TLC and a good quality dog food, he will be quite a handsome and healthy boy in a short time. If you are interested in meeting Kyle, stop in and meet him today and see if he could be your new life long friend.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kyle, a Troy Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Troy, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Troy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
