Birthday: 9/1/14
Weight: 60 lbs

Good with Cats: NO

Bio: Emden had a difficult start and ended up at a county shelter. A nice lady contacted Circle Tail and we took her in. She began working on basic obedience and house manors. Emden is a smart girl and quickly found her forever home and was enjoying life with her new family. However, she didn't care for the neighbors farm animals and has been returned to Circle Tail. Emden is seeking a home without livestock or cats. She loves to run and play and would enjoy a big fenced in yard to romp around in. She is a great dog who loves people and would enjoy plenty of human devotion!! She lives well with dogs, but tends to be a rough player. She enjoys kids of all ages, but she sometimes can knock over the smaller ones with her enthusiasm. She is house trained and crate trained.

Circle Tail is located about 30 miles northeast of downtown Cincinnati. Because many of our dogs are housed off-site, ADOPTIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. If you are interested in this dog, please submit your online pre-adoption questionnaire form that is located on our website at We will then contact you for further discussion, make arrangements for you to meet the dog and complete the adoption process.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emden, a Pleasant Plain Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Pleasant Plain, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Pleasant Plain.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pleasant Plain already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pleasant Plain breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pleasant Plain paves the way for another one to be saved.
