MAVEN's Story...
Maven is a sweet girl who was rescued from East Valley shelter in LA. Her grey whiskers give her a look that's older than her actual years - but it also combines with her autumn eyes and dark brindle coat to give her a stunning appearance that always draws compliments! Maven won't tell us much about where she came from, she came to the shelter as a stray, but she is housebroken and is quickly learning her basic commands. You see, Maven loves treats and is easy to train! With her temporary foster/boarder, she's been crated without complaint, and has been great in all of her encounters with other dogs (in crates when she's out and vice-versa, off-leash separated by gates, and on-leash). Really, she's more into people than she is other dogs. She loves to go walking and hiking (her walking/on-leash behavior is already really good!), but she's also happy to curl up on a dog bed next to you or on the couch with you -- humans are clearly the fascinating celebrities of Maven's world. :)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MAVEN, a Los Angeles Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Staffordshire Bull Terrier for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Staffordshire Bull Terrier breeders who help with Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
