Meet Evie! This sensitive, sweet cat is looking to find the perfect home. When we first met Evie, she was quite scared of petting. We decided to place Evie in an ASPCA team member’s office so we could get to know her a little better. Evie took some time to settle in and feel comfortable, but now she’s come to enjoy petting and affection from her favorite people.
We also discovered that Evie loves treats and toys! Evie will gently take treats from your hand, and one of her favorite games is to "hunt" down the treats we hide for her around the office.
Evie can still get slightly overwhelmed by new interactions and people, so she would do best in a quiet, adult-only home with an experienced cat adopter. Evie prefers to be the only pet in her new home.
Office Foster Cat: As part of our adoption program, some of our feline friends have the opportunity to live in ASPCA team members' offices. Living in an office allows cats to have a more comfortable and domestic living space, and allows our behaviorists to learn more about each individual kitty's personality and needs. Through the office foster program, we are able to offer adopters a clearer picture of how their new feline friend will adjust to life in a permanent home.
If you're interested in adopting please call our Adoptions department at (212) 876-7700, ext. 4120. For more information on adopting from the ASPCA, please visit www.aspca.org/adoptionsteps.
