My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi. I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Hamilton, aka Hammy, and I am all love! You might remember me from my Family Dogs debut in August 2012 when I was just 2 months old. I was adopted by my original foster family, who have loved me to pieces for the last 4 years! Unfortunately I now need to live in a home with no stairs as being a tripod and having had surgery for one of my back legs, my joints have become less tolerant of physical activity. I am still young and with great energy and oodles of love to give, but I will need a home with minimal stairs (a few steps to go out to the yard could be okay but not a full flight). I am not able to walk long distances, but am very happy to be the king of my own backyard and work on my tan! The biggest joy in my life is being around my people! I would love to live in a home with a stay at home or work from home parent as I'm crate trained, but am not accustomed to being alone for long periods during the day. I could and would also go to work with you if that's an option! I love children and have spent a lot of time around disabled children and adults. I am very gentle, patient and kind. Basically I'm just a pretty easy going guy with everyone. I'm am dog-friendly and have lived with a cat. So if your life is missing a big, sweet dog to snuggle on the couch with - that's me and I'd love to meet you!
